The Opportunity
Their banking and finance team is one of the firm’s core powerhouse practices — a Band 1 Chambers‑ranked group advising on high-end, large-cap and complex corporate finance and leveraged finance transactions. Their work spans the full spectrum of sophisticated debt structures.
The team advises on some of the most notable sponsor-driven transactions in the market, working with leading PE and major financial institutions. Due to ongoing growth and an exceptional pipeline, the team is now seeking a Senior Associate with strong leveraged finance experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on the structuring and execution of leveraged buyouts and high-end acquisition financings
- Provide sophisticated advice on risk allocation, lender protections and security packages
- Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor arrangements, security documents, guarantees, and all ancillary documentation
- Lead day-to-day transaction progression, managing clients, counterparties and advisers through execution
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the team’s development
- Support practice growth through business development and market engagement
About You
- 5+ years' loan markets experience, ideally from a top-tier or highly regarded mid-tier firm, or in-house
- Demonstrated experience in leveraged finance and complex debt transactions
- Outstanding communication, drafting and analytical skills
- A commercial mindset and the ability to negotiate effectively
- A collaborative approach with the ability to lead, mentor and also operate autonomously
- Energy, initiative and a genuine commitment to client service
